Music is a language that needs no translation. It has the ability to express feelings and experiences in a way that is universally understood. I was reminded of this once again when I listened to the song “If I Were to Drown” by singer-songwriter Hannah Andrea. In this song, delivered in a cinematic pop style, she masterfully conveys a sense of oppression and burden brought on by life’s responsibilities.
In “If I Were to Drown,” Hanna skillfully weaves together her Norwegian and American roots, creating a unique sound filled with emotion.
