Rexford ‘Seventeen Memories’: A Love Letter to House Music

Rexford (Sarah Tromley ), originally from the rainy Pacific Northwest, moved to sunny Los Angeles where she became a multi-talented artist—singer, songwriter, and actress, all rolled into one. Her music feels like a reflection of the life she’s lived and the experiences she’s gathered. In her new track “Seventeen Memories,” she taps into the sounds of the ‘80s when house music was at its peak. With classic four-on-the-floor beats and a delicate vocal delivery, Sara captures the raw emotions she’s flooded with as she looks back on past relationships.

Teaming up with producer Twin Shadow, she layers melodic synths and hypnotic rhythms that perfectly complement her voice and lyrics. The result is a track that feels like it’s been pulled straight from the ‘80s but with a modern twist.
