Just Jayne – “The Way We Were”: a Fresh Take on Country With an Indie-Pop Twist

Nashville – a city where music lives and breathes – continues to introduce new names to the modern scene, and one of the brightest is the country trio Just Jayne. Three women who met and studied together at Belmont University formed this musical collective. Their new song, “The Way We Were,” is a great example of how traditional genres can seamlessly flow into a contemporary musical language. Pure country and indie-pop creates an atmosphere of nostalgia.

The vocals of the three members blend perfectly, forming a harmony that sounds sincere and heartfelt. If you’re not yet familiar with Just Jayne, “The Way We Were” is a wonderful introduction to their work.
