The Boneheads Light Up Toronto with Raw Power and a Wild New Single ‘Lonesome Cowboy’

Get ready, Toronto! Straight from the wild corners of Mississauga fly The Boneheads – four cool guys who know how to turn on such rock that gives you goosebumps. If you suddenly haven’t heard these guys yet, here’s a little insider info for you: their music is a bright flash! Imagine that you mixed hot blues, a little country, and well seasoned it all with dirty garage rock. That’s The Boneheads! The guys come on stage with the energy you expect from real professionals.

It’s no surprise that The Boneheads have already managed to grab a bunch of awards, like “Musical Group of the Year (Newcomers)” and “Best New Band” at the Mississauga Music Awards. And the guys also played as opening acts for such monsters of Canadian rock as The Glorious Sons and JJ Wilde. Agree, that already says something! Now they are taking over the stage of The Drake Underground to celebrate the release of their new, awesome single “Lonesome Cowboy”! It’s a dense, electrified cocktail of screeching guitars, pulsing rhythms, and powerful lyrics. The unrestrained drive is pushed forward by a cheeky riff and shakes with crushing power chords. From this track, you just want to stomp your foot and shake your head, and when the fiery solo and vocals – raw, with strain – burst in, you want to turn up the volume and drive somewhere without stopping.

This is the story of a nomad who didn’t find lodging in his own body,” admits Jake Jerovak, the band’s frontman. “‘Lonesome Cowboy’ is not about love, but about how it burns, and the road that calls further, into the night, where new songs are born.” It is there, in this inky night, that their music sounds – daring, alive, truly free. The guys really worked hard, they returned to the roots of American rock, with its characteristic sincerity and unpretentious power, which today is rarely heard. Watch out as The Boneheads bring a fiery show to Toronto for those who remember that rock lives as long as someone lies awake after midnight.
