Welsh artist, songwriter, and producer Otto Aday breaks genre boundaries by blending intellectual musicianship with intimate vulnerability. In his new single “Friends Like Lovers”, there is everything: the breath of betrayed hopes, the weight of broken promises, cracks between attachment and taboo, pure indie rock saturated with emotion.
The lyrics reveal an inner struggle, sounding especially poignant in the line: “Drop all the labels, I just wanted you and me.” In the bridge, Otto’s vocals nearly break — and it’s in this fragility that strength is born. His music is like 35mm film: alive, textured, and deep. It doesn’t dictate but invites you to relive every emotion anew. “Friends Like Lovers” is an artistic statement about boundaries that fade when feelings overpower rules.
