Under Open Skies, in Quiet Love: Selina Gin’s “Oh My Heart”

Leaving behind the noise and rhythm of the big city, Selina Gin – singer, songwriter, and former frontwoman of indie rock trio Nelson Can – found inspiration in the quiet of the Danish countryside. It was here, among fields and wind, that her new single Oh My Heart was born – a warm confession dedicated to her daughter.

Selina wrote the song together with her husband – a rare creative partnership where every note carries a personal story. “Oh My Heart” resonates with roots influences, subtle country shades, and the organic sound of acoustic instruments. Gin’s voice – soft yet assured – blends tenderness and strength in a single breath. Motherhood and the move have not only changed her life but also given her music a deeper sense of purpose. “Now I understand that I don’t write songs for fame,” she says. “I write them for the words and sounds that can truly touch the heart.”
