David Vogel grew up in a musical family with Franco-Italian roots, but his greatest source of inspiration was his grandmother, Madeline, affectionately known as Midge. His new song, “Your Lover,” reflects his personal experiences: he produced the track himself, played all the instruments, and performed the vocals. The lyrics were co-written with his longtime friend and collaborator, Nick Gamble.
The song tells the story of chasing a lover who enjoys the thrill of the pursuit more than being “caught” in a serious relationship.
