Since 2018, Vancouver-based artist Danielle Schroeder has been making her mark on the alternative folk/rock scene. Her songs are intimate explorations of life’s deepest struggles-grief, loss, and the transformation born from personal experience.
Her new single, “The Ache of Living,” along with its accompanying music video, was written in the wake of losing a close friend last summer. For Danielle, the song became both a way to process her pain and to share it with the world. The track blends subtle Adult Contemporary textures with Alternative Rock, with an emotional vocal delivery that feels both confession and defiance.
