Her music is a little musical miracle, a tiny coffee cup in which an entire universe is hidden. It is no accident that the title hints at intimacy and comfort.
“demitasse” is a modern neoclassical minimalism set in crystal. The main charm of “demitasse” is in its melody: it is built from small repeating phrases that change slightly as they go along. The sounds are high and mid‑range, and the harmony is flowing, arpeggiated – each note slowly descends, filling the space with warmth. Quiet dynamics interact with a slow tempo, while the rhythm pulses gently, sometimes shifting slightly to add vitality and air. Patricia’s playing is delicate and calm – ideal for a few minutes of genuine serenity.
“Demitasse” received gold at the LitMusic Awards and bronze at the Global Music Awards. Behind Patricia’s music is a long path of study: she began playing piano in Victoria, British Columbia, where her parents owned the family business The Mayfair Arrangements – from which her stage name originates. Then at Castle of the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she went from schoolgirl to student. Today she is not only a composer but also a certified RCM teacher, who began to write her own music in 2017. Her original music has received recognition: the instrumental composition “Winter Glow” entered the first voting round of the 67th Grammy Awards. In July 2025, she became a voting member of the Recording Academy and is also a delegate of the CARAS/JUNO Awards. Her artistic biography includes collaborations with the labels Yellow Rose Records, The Label Sunday, as well as with the distributors Identity Music and Warner Music.
