Premiere! The Abyss of Obsession: Yellow Majesty’s New Single and Music Video “STALKER”

Today the post-rock world experiences a landmark moment. Yellow Majesty releases a new single “STALKER” accompanied by a large-scale music video with an atmosphere and cinematic depth that approaches a full short film. With this single, Yellow Majesty challenges the genre’s conventions and expands rock’s sonic range, blending saturated guitar textures with the refined shimmer of electronic elements. Before diving further, a brief introduction to the artist. Yellow Majesty is a Swedish audiovisual project created by a single musician named Amir Haj-Bolouri.

YELLOW MAJESTY – STALKER (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

Amir can do everything: plays a bunch of instruments, sings, writes lyrics, produces and along the way engages in science. Yes, he’s also into phenomenology – in one of the interviews he once mentioned that post-phenomenology influences his creativity. And if you suddenly were looking for where to find phenomenology and post-phenomenology in rock, well here it is!

The new single “STALKER” fits precisely into it “distorted reality”, but already on the level of relationships: obsession and all the “dark” joys of dependence on another person. The hero of the song, having lost all brakes, speaks from the face of such a, you know, nice obsessive person who convinces everyone that “everything’s fine”, while he himself slides into the abyss. The monologue of a slightly dangerous type, he recognizes his dependence, but… brilliantly shifts the responsibility onto the one he’s stalking. And the “monster” – of course, isn’t some kind of Boogeyman there, but a psychological allegory of internal deformation.

“STALKER” captures the essence of chasing something unattainable – a ghost forever out of reach. The music video, meanwhile, tells its own compelling story. Surrealism, grotesque, symbolism – all signature features of Yellow Majesty. I recommend taking time to watch the music video, and “STALKER” is already available for listening and viewing across all platforms. So listen and watch! Then you’ll tell how your monsters are doing there.
