“Restart Love”: Kyle Waves’ Musical Response to Unhealthy Relationships

Born in Singapore and based in New York artist Kyle Waves has established himself as a notable new phenomenon among Asian and queer communities of his generation. He releases diverse tracks with juicy synthesizer parts and vocal dominance in the genres of pop, R&B and house. The new track “Restart Love” is a dynamic synth-pop track and his response to toxic relationships, based on his own experience.

He speaks about that side of toxicity when you return to this type of relationship, because there is, perhaps, something pleasant in it, or somehow both partners find a rhythm in it. The singer understands such relationships are unhealthy and should be avoided. However, when you yourself are experiencing something similar, then it somehow seems good. The music video for the track helps to reveal more strongly the plot laid down in the lyrics of the song and production.
