Los Angeles-based dark-pop singer and songwriter Lucy Frost has unveiled her new single “Prescription” – a track where love sounds like both a cure and a relapse. It’s a kind of emotional detox therapy, written as a way to release “accumulated, smoldering anxiety.”
In the song, Frost explores addictive, painfully magnetic relationships that are impossible to quit without withdrawal. Musically, the track balances between tense synth-pop textures and soft guitar picking, turning into what Lucy herself describes as “a sonic form of anxiety and discomfort rising to the surface and washing everything away in a stream of release.”
