Before, they sang as if the world were an endless night without consequences. Now everything is different. The band Julez and the Rollerz no longer hides behind rock nostalgia. They are growing in real time – honestly, with irony, without trying to escape into the past. And the single “I Don’t Know You” sounds like their most candid moment.
Here’s what vocalist and guitarist Jules Batterman says: “I Don’t Know You” was born from a simple and slightly awkward thought: I look at my past self and think – who is that girl? Over time, the song became something bigger: it’s about how time changes everything. We lose people – friends, exes, even loved ones. And sometimes we lose ourselves. It’s scary, but there’s a quiet beauty in it. I’m 31 now, I’m married, and I still don’t fully understand what I want from life – but I hope my past version of me is proud.”
So, friends, let’s look at ourselves in the mirror and be proud!
