The track was born during a difficult period: anxiety, emotional swings, concerns about health – all of this is carefully woven into the lyrics and the mood. A year-long break from music and a reunion with old friends pushed the author to return to “Haley.” Rethinking it and rewriting part of the lines, the song began to sound more honest and more accurately reflects his state.
