In games, we can immerse ourselves in the roles of such characters and live out their adventures. But what really fascinates me is how artists and musicians interpret this theme through their creativity. I believe that through art, we can better understand and feel all the changes happening around us because of technology. In particular, the music of the National Security Band has become an incredibly powerful tool for me to grasp and make sense of this theme. Their music ranges from heavy, memorable rhythms to incredibly atmospheric melodies that transcend genre boundaries. The band started as a duo founded by cousins Andy and Greg but has now expanded with the addition of bassist Craig. Together, these two songs create an atmosphere of incredible intensity and mystique.

“AI Has No Soul” entrances with its ominous tones, while “Humans Need Not Apply” captivates with its blend of energy and melody. This music embodies power. The bass lines pierce the space, creating an aura of tension and enigma. Listening to this track, I felt as if I were standing on the edge of a cliff, peering into the unknown; it scared and yet fascinated me with its allure.

The deep sounds of the guitar, soaring on the wings of vocals, enveloped me in the track “Far Cry,” and I found myself in an atmosphere where fears and experiences dissolved like smoke in the air. I relaxed, but not for long, as the track “Internecion” awaited me. Its ringing rhythm and intense vocals engulfed me in a wave of strength and power, as if saying, “Welcome to reality!” The powerful surge of “Internecion” carried me to the final song, “The Reversion.” The grandiose final chord awakened me from a state of hypnosis, calling for reflection and enlightenment. I felt a unique energy that purified me, enveloped in a mystical aura capable of altering my consciousness. The clinking of cymbals at the end added completeness and integrity, reminding me of reality and the need to embrace truth, rejecting falsehood and hypocrisy.

The theme of “Critical Sound Theory” is shaped by current global events, with the band aiming to capture the role of technology in our daily lives and the current state of human evolution. “Critical Sound Theory” is founded on free thinking, self-expression, and expanding the horizons of the mind. It can be confidently stated that with this album, the National Security Band has reached a new level, and it will play a significant role in their musical journey.
