Frequency Magic in ‘Darkness to a Fairytale’: Scharliina’s Music for Healing

The name Scharliina evokes associations with qualities such as elegance, refinement, and individuality. This is exactly what came to mind when I began to get acquainted with the work of the singer Scharliina. At the age of 24, this young woman has managed to cover many aspects of the world of art. An artist, painter, singer, songwriter, producer, model, healer, writer, and storyteller, and this is just a small part of her multifaceted talent. “Playing, I really become someone else, and in my music, I become the deepest version of myself,” she admits.

The genres in which Scharliina writes and sings are as varied as her life tastes. This includes pop, rap, R&B, afrobeat, and Latin motifs-her sound transforms like a chameleon. This constant evolution is vividly reflected in her debut album “Darkness to a Fairytale”.The album consists of eight tracks that touch on themes of personal experience and healing. When Scharliina was recording her album, she used special frequencies that help listen to music and feel better both emotionally and physically. These frequencies, such as 432 Hz and 528 Hz, were chosen for their ability to impact overall well-being.

The main theme of “Darkness to a Fairytale” symbolizes the journey from suffering to healing, reflecting Scharliina’s personal trials and emotional growth and highlighting her transformation. The song “Running,” which became a hit in Sweden and topped the album list of “Darkness to a Fairytale,” begins with touching melodies and Scharliina’s caramel-like performance. The piano plays a connecting role between transitions in this track. Closer to the second part of the track, drums and violins join the piano sounds, adding dynamics to the track. The smooth final part of “Running” serves as a gentle transition to the track “Little Girl”. In this track, I would highlight the refined sound of acoustic instruments, the enticing rhythmic arrangements, and Scharliina’s deep vocals. “Little Girl” topped the iTunes charts in Finland, a powerful and emotional track addressing an important and delicate topic — overcoming childhood trauma. The powerful vocal performance and sincere lyrical imagery inspire awe. She conveys her feelings through music and calls for change. Such a call is embodied in her song “Pieces of Me.”

The instrumental of this song is stylish and precise: resonant, rustling drums, delicately shimmering keys, subtle electronic hum, and strings – all suit Scharliina and her voice. The album creates a sound atmosphere that harmoniously intertwines with the warmth of Scharliina’s vocals. I especially heard this quality of the singer’s voice in the track “Paradigm”. This song marked the beginning of work on the album in 2020, setting the main tone – transformation and healing. The harmonious blend of keyboards, drums, and strings enhances the vibrant sound of Scharliina’s vocals. Her style in “Pieces of Me” transforms pain into hope.

The final track of the album, “Fairytale,” in my opinion, is very feminine and stirring. Musically, the track is layered: it combines melancholic chords with inspiring melodies and sensual vocals. This contrast enhances the sense of s triumph, reflecting the process of overcoming difficulties and believing in the possibility of a better future.

Scharliina is the voice of a new generation. Her album “Darkness to a Fairytale” reflects hopes and aspirations. Scharliina has achieved an emotional and rich debut. The instrumental parts of the album are atmospheric, with its soft melodies, deep emphasis on piano and strings, wrapping the listener in a cozy atmosphere. This album will be a source of inspiration for many. Sharliina continues her path to healing, demonstrating that music is a powerful force capable of overcoming pain and bringing hope to the world. She urges to be brave, accept oneself, and use one’s talent to make the world better. Her message is simple yet profound: “Use your talent to make the world better.”
