A native of the Pacific Northwest, blending Cherokee, Filipino, and Scottish-Irish roots, TEHYA presents her track “dust dog.” She explains the song: “My label sent me to a remote cabin to finish my EP. It was there that we met a dog named Gucci. I was going through one of the hardest breakups of my life, and somehow, Gucci’s love for sunbathing in the mud, waiting for his people to come back, became a metaphor for how I felt in that relationship.” TEHYA is an artist who isn’t confined by genre boundaries and is ready to conquer the world.
