Savannah Pope creates music that grabs you even before you fully understand it. The Los Angeles singer, known for her operatic vocals, striking visuals, and refreshingly honest songwriting, is releasing the single “Terrible Thing.” The track walks a line between cinematic art-rock, poetic indie, and avant-garde pop – all while staying surprisingly personal.
“It’s about things that are hard to say out loud,” Savannah shares. Part of the inspiration came from her time in Spain, where she rekindled her love for flamenco. The song captures that strange feeling of craving love but not being able to fully accept it. The rhythms and accents in the track reflect her global musical influences, and the emotions hit so authentically that you want to listen again and again.
