In my view, Dennis Hauck is a cinematic and poetic artist with a darkly romantic Americana aesthetic.
Listening to his single “Natural Heart” only reaffirms that. The song’s long, flowing melodies radiate a wild, unrestrained energy, shimmering with a country-tinged sound and Hauck’s passionate vocals. The track features eleven verses and runs just over six minutes, yet it never feels tiring – quite the opposite. The artist uses climate, topography, and weather patterns as metaphors, making for some of his most brilliant lyrics. In my opinion, it’s a particularly intriguing artistic choice.
