California-based singer and guitarist Pembroke Tenneson has released his new single, “Sex Appeal.” Written and produced by Tenneson himself, the track is an energetic rock song that playfully pokes fun at the pomp and self-importance often associated with rock music’s biggest frontmen. Inspired by the bold energy of early 1970s rock, the song deliberately turns the dial all the way up – Tenneson adopts an incredibly self-confident persona while maintaining a strong sense of irony.
The result is an intentionally over-the-top celebration of rock-star bravado that is fully aware of the irony at play.
