Love, Guitars, and Storytelling: Sadie Brown’s “Counterfeit” A Soft Indie-Pop Revelation

Sadie Brown presents her new song “Counterfeit” — a dreamy pop moment about escaping with a loved one. Produced byCashybear (Tim Ross, formally of Cash+David), this track marks a shift towards indie-pop songwriting for Sadie, who wrote the song during quarantine, evolving its sound in a new direction influenced by a soft yet powerful approach to storytelling.

Jimmy Sims (George Ezra)  collaborated on guitar to bring a retro feel to the riffs, creating an ethereal, winding sound that surrounds her vocals as the song builds to a sweet yet crushing crescendo.
