Japanese-Korean-American indie pop artist Tiger La Flor has released a new coquettish single, “Bad Company,” alongside a visualizer. According to Tiger herself, it’s a flirtatious track told from the perspective of someone who fully understands they’re not the type to get involved with-and says so honestly, with a smile. At the core of the song is the line “I know I look good but I’m bad, bad company,” which sets the tone for the entire track.
“Bad Company” feels like a soundtrack for a night out-getting ready, putting on your best outfit, driving with the windows down, and letting yourself make questionable romantic choices without hesitation. In the song, the protagonist directly warns a potential partner: “I know I look cute, but honey, I’m bad company.” From there, it grows into a light, bold pop anthem about flirtation, temptation, and conscious danger.
