Watching a solar eclipse is an astonishing and beautiful sight. For a couple of minutes the familiar order collapses: day becomes night, a shadow covers the earth. Psychologists say that eclipses sharpen mystical feelings and the banal human need – to believe in something when control is gone. It was on just such a day, at the new moon, that Eleri Ward released the single “BELIEVE IT AND IT’S TRUE.”

The coincidence of the date seems too precise to be accidental. Eleri Ward – a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist – creates music built around rituals: her debut album “Internal Rituals” explored the habits and rites that make up an ordinary day. The new single goes further, transforming the song into a ritual that can be repeated, like a morning stretch or an evening prayer. The melody is built on soft acoustics, gentle electronic textures, and a recognizable vocal that instantly draws you into a hypnotic state.
At the beginning, Ward’s voice sounds even and peaceful. But with each repetition the intonation rises slightly – the affirmation gains confidence from its own sound. By the finale the vocal opens up completely – just as the sun opens up at the moment when the moon finally moves out of its path. A kind of gradual unveiling of light that had been hidden inside the voice from the very start. The single was produced by Ward herself together with Allen Tate. In the collaboration one senses a precise balance: nothing that would distract from the main thing – the voice itself. Lyrically, it’s about the search for authenticity, accepting one’s own path, and how the frequent repetition of a thought gradually changes reality. The concept is further complemented by a visualizer, in which the music is interwoven with EFT tapping (tapping on biologically active points to relieve stress). In essence, this is a live somatic instruction: Ward’s affirmations build, turning into a hypnotic chant that gently carries the listener along with it.
“BELIEVE IT AND IT’S TRUE” holds a balance between a pop track, a meditation, and a prayer. In the new single, Eleri Ward invites you to repeat a couple of phrases after her and to stay a while in that state. And then, as after any eclipse, the light returns, and it’s up to you alone to decide what you emerge from that shadow with.
