Nathaniel Paul is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Michigan City, Indiana. Classically trained in guitar, he later moved to New York, where he toured with The Bergamot. In his work, Paul handles almost everything himself – from performance to production.
“Songbird” was inspired by a chance encounter with an older man during lockdown. His story of loss, loneliness, and a dream of one day traveling around the world became the starting point for Nathaniel’s song about finding a way forward when the world you once knew begins to fall apart. “Songbird” is a heartfelt and uplifting song about hope, new directions, and the ability to keep moving forward even when it feels like everything around you has changed.
