Amid the vast deserts of Arizona, the name of this artist has become a symbol of spiritual awakening for listeners around the world.
Thurane (real name Thurane Aung Khin) is an American worship leader, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer based in Youngtown, Arizona. His spiritual journey began at the age of 18 when he converted to Christianity, was baptized, and began serving musically in church through Campus Crusade for Christ. He co-founded the Christian rock band New Jerusalem with Randall Householder, drawing inspiration from Led Zeppelin, and later formed the adult contemporary duo Kenyon Grey with Kenn Long. Their single “Heaven In Your Eyes” entered the CCMA Top 100. Today, thurane performs as a solo artist.

Thurane blends the spirit of 60s–70s rock with modern studio aesthetics and spirituality. In today’s Christian music scene, it’s rare to find something truly fresh — many songs seem to sound alike. But thurane proves that it’s possible to see familiar things in a new light. His latest single, “Big House”, is a cover of the iconic 1993 Christian rock anthem by Audio Adrenaline, reimagined in his own distinctive style. The song is part of a new series of singles that will be included on the upcoming EP Lift Him Up and full-length album Worship Servant, both slated for release in early 2026.
In “Big House”, especially in thurane’s rendition, the central image is the Father’s house – a place where no one is alone, where you can be yourself: loved, accepted, and… even run and play. The track opens with vibrant rock guitar and a driving drumbeat. Thurane’s vocals add twang and energy, giving the song a dynamic and warm tone. The arrangement combines the sincerity of a live performance with the polish of studio production. If the main message of the song were to be restated in a modern way, it might sound something like this: “You no longer have to fight for the right to be loved. God has already prepared a home for you – big, bright, and free. A home with room for games, music, family, and peace. A home where you are awaited. A home you’ve always been looking for. Welcome home.”
