LANDROID and their “Stay”: Music About Love where Closeness Becomes Fear

Cooper Gillespie (vocals, guitar, bass) and Greg Gordon (drums, sequences) from LANDROID are experienced musicians who have performed all over the world. Their new song “Stay” conveys a feeling familiar to many in love: the desire to stay in an embrace longer, not to be apart for even a minute, because deep down there is a fear that something might change afterward.

The song is about a love that is too big and therefore frightening. The distance here is not physical – it is internal, intangible, and both characters feel it but cannot explain it. The repeated “I’ll do anything” sounds like a promise and devotion, but underneath it there is anxiety: even “everything” might not be enough. An atmospheric track with a cinematic mood, like a soundtrack to a series in the style of David Lynch.
