Voices of the World: KAMOBii and International Choirs on the Single “MOTHER”

KAMOBii consists of Bee Munro and Mo Brandis, two vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and songwriters. Originally from London and Hamburg, they are now based in Eswatini (South Africa). After meeting at a songwriting session in Los Angeles, they became friends and frequent collaborators. Their new single “MOTHER,” featuring the Oscar-nominated Thanda Choir and the renowned London Community Gospel Choir (Elton John, Queen, Madonna), is a dedication to the Earth, created in response to the growing environmental crisis.

The six-minute track begins as an intimate “apology,” built on soft vocals, kalimba, and natural soundscapes, before gradually unfolding into a powerful crescendo of live drums, bass, orchestration, and choral arrangements. KAMOBii’s signature male-female vocal blend is joined by the London Community Gospel Choir and voices from South Africa, including passages in Zulu – a reminder of humanity’s shared connection to nature and to one another.
