Voices of the World: KAMOBii and International Choirs on the Single “MOTHER”

KAMOBii consists of B Munro and Mo Brandis, two vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, and songwriters. Originally from London and Hamburg via Eswatini in Southern Africa, they are now based in Ibiza. After meeting at a songwriting session in Los Angeles, they became friends and long-time creative collaborators. Their new single, “MOTHER,” featuring the Oscar-nominated Thanda Choir and the renowned London Community Gospel Choir (known for working with Elton John, Queen, and Madonna), is a heartfelt tribute to the Earth, created in response to the growing environmental crisis.

The six-minute composition begins as an intimate “apology,” built around gentle vocals, the delicate sound of the kalimba, and natural soundscapes. It gradually unfolds into a powerful crescendo featuring live drums, bass, orchestral arrangements, and soaring choir harmonies. KAMOBii’s signature blend of male and female vocals is joined by the London Community Gospel Choir and voices from Southern Africa, including passages sung in Zulu, serving as a reminder of humanity’s deep connection to nature and to one another.
