Backsprint is a country-rock band from Belgrade with an American background. Frontman Uroš Jojić grew up on records by Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash, then spent his youth in Michigan, where he experienced country music in its natural setting. After returning to Serbia, he formed the band with Ognjen Ninković (guitar), Nemanja Cvijović (bass), Stanislav Stojkanović (drums), and Kaća Vidović (backing vocals). The band plays with honesty and directness: no autotune, no click track, no overdubs – one take, one room, five musicians.
Backsprint release new singles every three weeks. “Have I Told You Lately” is a warm acoustic track with a folk-leaning mood, restrained instrumentation, and a strong rock vocal. It’s music without excess, but full of feeling.
