Salo Pallini: Progressive Latin Space Country from Memphis

Salo Pallini started out as an instrumental group, but soon decided to bring vocals into their music, inviting some of their favorite singers to join them. One of these tracks is “Until You Have No Choice,” featuring Walt Phelan. The song was written just two weeks before one of the band members lost his home, instruments, and recording equipment in a fire. After that, the song took on a completely different sound and a deeply personal meaning.

Today, Salo Pallini is an instrumental quartet from Memphis, working in their own genre, progressive Latin space country. The musicians describe their music as “preemptive soundtracks” – soundtracks for books that might one day become films.
