Romcom Soundtrack are releasing their new track “little thing” – an energetic and slightly wild indie rock cut recorded with a clear love for analog sound. The song was performed and recorded live on an 8-track tape machine, channeling the spirit of the Motown era, when musicians gathered in the same room and created a track in the moment, without computers or endless edits.
Six musicians played on the recording. It has everything people love about live recordings: raw energy, genuine interplay between the musicians, a wild cello part, and the distinctive effects of Space Echo. It sounds like the band really decided not to hold back in the studio – and you can hear it.
