Closer, then Farther Apart: pami on Complicated Relationships in “loser”

Thai bedroom pop singer pami releases “loser” – an honest and slightly painful single about those moments when you know a relationship isn’t right for you, but you stay anyway. The song explores an undefined relationship where two people keep moving closer and pulling away, yet can’t quite let each other go. pami doesn’t romanticise the situation, instead capturing the conflicting desire to leave while still wanting to stay.

“loser” was written with Australian musician Jett Blyton and produced by Maribelle, who has worked with Young Franco, iKON and George Alice. The song draws on their own experiences of difficult and disappointing relationships.
