Gary Gach – “Family Tradition”: Country Rock with Character and Soul

Canadian musician Gary Gach, hailing from Winnipeg, is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who isn’t afraid to explore different genres and has built up an impressive catalog of original songs. “Family Tradition” is an upbeat country-rock track with a pleasingly gritty edge and plenty of character. At its heart are family roots, personal principles, and the values we absorb growing up and carry with us throughout our lives.

The story behind the song is particularly personal. It came together during a songwriting weekend organized by the Manitoba Country Music Association. Gach was joined by Jason Petrick, as well as John and Dan Hnatishin. The song draws on their own memories of growing up, where hard work and a love of music were an inseparable part of everyday life.
