“ONE NIGHT”: Mila’s Sensual Alt-Pop with Indian Influences

MIla Sidhu is a London-born alt-pop and dark-pop artist based in Los Angeles. Her music blends atmospheric soundscapes, elements of alternative R&B, and sensual vocals. At its core are melancholic melodies, subtle emotions, and themes of love, vulnerability, and female independence. Rather than relying on bold effects, Mila focuses on mood and authenticity.

She created “ONE NIGHT” with her friend and producer Siloe. Mila asked him to incorporate Indian influences into the track to reflect her cultural heritage, while the song itself draws on a story about a former lover. She came up with the melodies and recorded the vocals, drawing inspiration in part from a trip to India, where a local singer introduced her to traditional Indian musical modes. Mila later wove these elements into the track’s sound.
