Austin singer-songwriter and entrepreneur Lurleen Ladd has reimagined INXS’s legendary 1987 hit “Mystify.” Her version offers a sultry, mature take on the iconic track, backed by a lifetime of perspective. The atmospheric music video was shot in the heart of Austin, against the backdrop of its most recognizable landmarks.
“I was still in high school the first time I heard ‘Mystify’ on the radio. The whole future was out ahead of me, and every dream was still possible-none of them named yet,” Lurleen shares. “Now I’m singing it from a completely different point in life-in a lower key, in the dark-and it carries a whole new, deeper meaning.”
