Belgrade-based country-rock band Backsprint release their new track “Gone” – the first of three singles exploring loss from different angles. It captures that strange moment when someone is already gone, yet you still catch yourself looking for them in every room.
The song was recorded in Belgrade with producer Oliver Jovanović – live takes, analog warmth, no autotune, no click track. The band wanted the rough edges and imperfections of ’70s country and raw Americana, rather than a polished Nashville sound. If it feels like the track could have been recorded in 1974, that’s exactly the point. Running time: 4:47 – simply because the song needed room to breathe.
