Rock ’n’ Roll, Adult Questions, and Self-Irony: “Comedy Gold” by Bikelane

The Norwegian indie rock band Bikelane draws inspiration from the indie rock of the early 2000s, but adds a modern sound to it. Their new track “Comedy Gold” is a straightforward, energetic rock track with a good dose of self-irony.

The line “What is real rock ’n’ roll? When all my friends are having kids with their girlfriends” perfectly captures the mood of the track – a little funny, a little sad, and very relatable. Powerful guitars, the drive of the bass and drums make “Comedy Gold” a great soundtrack for a run, a party, or those days when you feel like listening to some loud indie rock.
